On the eastern side of California, sitting so quietly and properly, it could belong to a fairytale dream, is a stable. Straight from a horse lover's fantasy, the ancient barn of white stone and oak is nestled between two hills, with mountains in the distance, opening up to the spacious sky as if reaching for something. Students mill around the cobblestone stable yard, and despite the activity of the estate, all is quiet from the start of the mouth of the long gravel driveway, two miles away. The sun is setting, but riders are still seen trotting through the lush green grass, past white wooden fences built maybe fifty years ago, but seemingly as strong as they were the day completed. This is Dreamside Riding School, a prestigious boarding academy for young riders. If you ever want to make it to the top, this would be a good place to start

the main office. all paperwork is filled out here, your schedules for classes are set up. all that great stuff. ;] Moderator: Aurie. ™

the stableyard. as soon as you exit the main stableyard, you'll come upon the stableyard. this is pretty much the main, central courtyard of the stables, made of cobblestones and surrounded by flowers and stalls. you can groom your horse here or just walk through the outer stables to see the horses. the barn. (21 sub-boards) oh, everyone loves this place. =) so the only way to explain the layout is to say that the barn is a big 'C' laid out around a large, square stableyard in the center. there is the east side for boarders, the west side for the showstring and stable's horses and the north side for broodmares. the stallions are kept off in a sepearte stable farther from the other horses, in a different paddock completely. =) Moderator: Aurie. ™

the front office. this office is mainly just for if you have a question about an upcoming event or something. the principal's office is also located in here, along with a copy machine in the back. Moderator: Aurie. ™

cafeteria. so it's called a cafeteria, but it's got good food, compared to the stuff you'd normally get in public schools. it's kind of like a highschool cafeteria, there are a lot of choices to pick from. =) Moderator: Aurie. ™

classrooms. so here are the classrooms. this is all located in a large, colonial style building a mile or two from the stable. two stories high, so obviously 101 would be on the first floor, 201 on the second. =) Moderator: Aurie. ™

athletics. oh, everyone loves working out, right? not really. but if you're in athletics, you kinda have to. there's the gym, then there's the track and football field. the gym is used for a basketball/volleyball court, of course. also, there are tennis courts, the baseball/softball field and swimming pool. still, none of these sports come close to the main one: the equestrian team. =) Moderator: Aurie. ™
